The primary challenge was to increase homepage credibility and conversion rates by effectively showcasing customer reviews. We needed a solution that could be implemented quickly without extensive development. The goal was to provide data-driven recommendations by analyzing competitor strategies, evaluating review widget capabilities, and facilitating leadership alignment.
My Role
I spearheaded the initiative to integrate customer reviews, driving research, analysis, and strategic recommendations. My responsibilities included:
- Competitive Analysis:
- Conducted in-depth research on competitor websites to identify effective review display strategies, focusing on homepage integration.
- Platform Evaluation:
- Assessed the capabilities and limitations of existing review platform widgets for homepage and footer implementation.
- Explored third-party plugins for customized, manual testimonial displays.
- Strategic Presentation & Facilitation:
- Developed a 40+ slide interactive presentation with voting and feedback mechanisms to ensure team alignment.
- Identified future review platform enhancements and alternative options based on competitor analysis.
- Delivered clear, actionable recommendations for immediate implementation and long-term improvements.
- Implementation Collaboration:
- Worked directly with the technical team to ensure the chosen review widget solution was correctly implemented.
- Provided support and guidance to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment.
Execution
I delivered a comprehensive Google Slides presentation to the senior leadership team. This presentation visually showcased competitor review implementation examples with direct links, screenshots of current platform widget options, visualizations of a potential third-party plugin, and interactive elements for team voting and feedback. Following the leadership’s decision, I collaborated closely with the tech team, providing necessary specifications and support to ensure the selected review widget was implemented correctly and efficiently within the two-week timeframe.
Results
The presentation facilitated rapid consensus among the leadership team, enabling the implementation of the chosen review widget solution within two weeks. This swift deployment prominently displayed customer testimonials on the homepage, significantly boosting trust and credibility. This was achieved with minimal technical effort, conserving valuable development resources.
